Minor Erdtree Catacombs Walking Tour

Beyond the Site of Grace, a Fanged Imp will attack you as you approach the right-hand turn. After clearing it, you’ll find a lift. You have two choices: ride it down or go straight ahead (west) and descend a flight of steps. Either you can go straight ahead (west) and descend a flight of steps or turn 180 degrees to head east into the passage. You’ll find a Grave Glovewort(4) plant to your east. As you turn left, you will enter a multi-leveled room with scarlet rot. Five fleshy blobs drop from the wall as you enter the room. You can either sprint to the opposite side or quickly backstep into the room to avoid the liquid. Aeonian butterflies can be found in the middle of the room, next to the corpse. Fanged Imps will attack you with firebombs at the top level, so make sure to stay below the protected area of the room. You’ll find a Grave Glovewort (5 on the back wall) and another Grave Glovewort ((4) in the right corner).

You can backtrack, most likely with a maxed Scarlet Rot meter. Then, you can ride the lift up again, and stop at the Site of Grace in order to get rid of the status effect. This will reset the Fanged Imp that you’ll have to deal with. Continue on the opposite path to the west and you will meet another Fanged Imp at your left. To maximize your chances of striking them with the same strikes, you can open the door to a rectangular room with a column at the center. On the left side of this corridor is a Grave Violet. A Grave Glovewort (3) is located on the opposite side to the central column. Continue on to the room with the lever. Fanged Imp is holding a two-handed knife. It can be seen immediately to your right as you enter this room. Fanged Imps will also descend from the ceiling at the center of the room. On the right-hand side of this room is a Grave Violet plant. Pull the lever to return to the lift at the Catacombs’ beginning.

To reveal the hidden path below, activate the lift to cause it to rise and roll off. You can defeat the Fanged Imp by dropping down, this time with a two-handed weapon. Continue down the steps to see more scarlet rot-inducing liquid and numerous fleshy blobs dropping from the ceiling. To reduce scarlet rot, it is a good idea that you have at least 4 to 5 Preserving Boluses. A small tunnel leads up from the waterlogged room’s middle right corner. There are several small Crabs that guard the Grave Glovewort (4) plant, and a corpse with a Golden Rune(4). A ladder is located to the right, which you can climb to reach a long corridor filled with Fanged Imps. You will find a Fanged Imp to your left and another on the opposite end of the room.

As you continue down the long corridor, a Fanged Imp will drop to the opposite end. It will grab the Grave Glovewort (3) as you go. A corpse lies at the end of the corridor. It is covered by a coffin that contains the Imp Head (Wolf). To your right, you will be able to access the upper level in the scarlet rot area from earlier. Grab the Grave Glovewort(5) plant and deal with the Fanged Imps to the left. A corpse is hanging over the edge, holding a Sacramental Bud. Turn right to reach the tunnel that leads down into the second scarlet-rot room. Then sprint to grab Grave Violet from the corpse to your left. Run through the passageway, turn left and you will arrive at the doors leading to the mist wall.

Elden Ring: Minor Erdtree Catacombs

Elden Ring has many Minor Erdtrees that players can use to gain new abilities for their Flask of Wonderous Physick. Each Erdtree contains catacombs where players can search to find Grave Glovewort or unique Spirit Ashes. Camelid is an area east of Limgrave that contains one such catacomb. This guide, which includes dead ends and hidden paths, will take players through the Minor Erdtree Catacombs in order to claim the Mad Pumpkin Head Ashes that can be used to aid Elden Ring’s brutal fights.

Where can I find the Minor Erdtree Catacombs?

You can find the Minor Erdtree in the Caelid Wilds just east of the Smoldering Church. It is located down a steep slope full of enemies. To obtain the Greenburst Crystal, Flame-Shrouding Cracked Tears, and their valuable Flask Of Wonderous Physick, players must fight an Erdtree Avatar at the tree’s base. You can find the Catacombs hidden in the cliffs behind the Erdtree to the right. Drop down from here and continue to the elevator. Continue to descend until you reach the Scarlet Rot-filled corridor. Run straight ahead, and then take a left at its end. This is where you will find the Erdtree Burial Burial Watchdog duo, the funny-looking Mad Pumpkin Head Ashes, and a Statue of Marika to respawn at. It can be difficult to fight this battle, so make sure you head to the summoning pool at top of the elevator if you need any assistance.
